The Poverty of All
Walking up from town to town
with few bucks on me…
Never mind the condition of my health,
loneliness hurts too...
I try to speak a few lines from the Gospel,
very few come to hear it…
then on the way, I behold what’s unseen,
poverty exists for real,
I cry for those who are in need,
I ask the Lord many things…
I hear you speak; I feel your tears,
I know that You saved the world,
I hear your voice, I change my clothes,
I walk with You holding the cross…
Can you speak for me? Can you live in me?
Many of us, who are called “true believers”
seeking for an easy life,
They forgot that Jesus was tempted
to abandon the plan of God,
remaining a preacher of that time,
but He chose the cross to save our lives…
I hear you speak; I feel your tears,
I know that You saved the world,
I hear your voice, I change my clothes,
I walk with You holding the cross…
Can you speak for me? Can you live
(I know that you can live in me, can you speak for me?)
…The poverty of all, the poverty of all…
…The poverty of all, the poverty of all…
Take me, change me, I want to be saved and free…
Love me, guide me, I want to feel your heartbeat…
…The poverty of all, the poverty of all…
…The poverty of all, the poverty of all…
Can you speak for me? Can you live in me?
Can you speak for me?
Can you live (I know that you will live in me)
